What it is
IPL is intense pulsed light. It is used to exfoliate the skin and erase sun damage, age spots, and fine lines and wrinkles. Lumecca delivers up to 3X energy than other IPL devices. Many patients only need 1-3 treatments to see desired results.
How long it takes
The procedure itself takes 30-60 minutes. Please allow more time in the office, though, as a medical history and photographs are taken, followed by 60 minutes of numbing time.
Expected down time
Patients can go back to work and life right after treatment. You may see some peeling a few days later for deeper treatment. Pigmented areas may darken before crusting and falling off. You must stay out of the sun for 1-2 weeks following treatment, as your skin will be very sensitive.
When will I look amazing?
