Microneedling has long been demonstrated to rejuvenate skin by inducing collagen synthesis. With the addition of PDGF+ (platelet derived growth factor), we can boost that skin response even further, enhancing results and speeding up recovery.
Vampire facials, or microneedling with PRP or PRF, start with a blood draw. The blood is then processed and the platelet rich plasma, or platelet rich fibrin, are extracted. These products are then reintroduced to the skin by applying them to the skin during or after microneedling. Results are variable, as they depend on the patient's platelet count, which varies person to person, and the body's response to creating growth factors that stimulate collagen to see results.
